Thanks for supporting Calon Llanarth!

THE Village Alive Trust would like to thank everyone who attended the Coffee Morning at Llanarth Village Hall on June 10th to debut the short drone film of the closed St Teilo’s Church, a landmark listed building at Llanarth.

Martin Phillips, of RED90, a local film company which travels across the globe undergoing commercial filming, created the  film free of charge for the Calon Llanarth project. The film reveals how the interior of the church building is faring ten years after closure in 2013. If the essential renovation work at the church can be funded through grants, then the building work progression will be filmed, creating a historical record.

The Calon Llanarth project is co-ordinating proposals to rejuvenate the heritage landmark and refurbish it for future community uses, including a café and bell ringing training centre, multi-use space and quiet space.

As well as the film, and coffee and cake to enjoy, visitors signed up to receive regular Newsletters on the project and were able learn from members of the project committee about the next stages.

Community interest, from across the rural area, is essential to secure the huge grant funding needed to restore the church building and refurbish it for a variety of well-being uses.

All of the Trust project committee members voluntarily  contribute their time and professional expertise to the project and thank Chris Jones Regeneration and RED90, and local supporters for their generous help.

To be kept informed via Newsletter and to support the project please contact the Trust, which is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee.
