Coffee Morning Reminder

Chance to see a film of the closed Llanarth Church this Saturday!

ANYONE curious to see how the closed St Teilo’s Church at Llanarth looks ten years after the last service was held there, is invited to a free Coffee Morning this Saturday, June 10th, from 10-1pm.

The event, at Llanarth Village Hall, near Raglan, is being run by The Village Alive Trust to debut a short film created by local filmmaker, Martin Phillips. The film can be viewed throughout the morning. Coffee, tea and cake will be on offer and members of the Trust can explain progress on the project to reopen the building for community use and gain feedback.

Plans are progressing to formulate bids for grants to refurbish the Grade II* listed church which has Norman origins. But community support is essential for suggested use of the building as a rural community well-being centre with café, bell ringing training, quiet spaces for therapy, mental health support and drop-in activities. Please come along and give us your views and ideas on proposals. Further information on the Trust is available at www.villagealivetrust.org.uk or by calling Pat Griffiths on 01873 821418.
